This journey begins and ends in Marrakech.

We are accompanied on the trek by dromedaries for the luggage and for riding, experienced camel guides, a cook, companions and the kitchen team

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8 am. The drive takes you through the Atlas Mountains with breathtaking views of Berber villages and ever-changing landscapes. Along the way there are panoramic breaks, tea/coffee stops, a lunch break and a visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the location of many films. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert” (optional visit to the Taourirt Kasbah). Through the Rose Valley we reach the Dades Valley, where we spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga - camel trekking and overnight stay in a Berber camp

After breakfast, we enjoy the view of the Dades Valley. Drive to the Todra Gorge. Lunch in Tinejdad or Touroug. Onward journey into the desert and arrival in Merzouga. Ride on a dromedary to a nomad camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes with sunset, dinner and overnight stay in a tent (traditional or luxury with toilet and shower).

Day 3: Walk to Khamlia and Talghomt

After breakfast, we start our hike from the camp at around 9:00 am. Camels, camel men and a cooking team await us. We hike towards Khamlia and pass a nomad village. Lunch in the shade of a carob tree. Afternoon hike to Talghomt, depending on the weather, campfire after dinner.

Day 4: Bagaa dunes

After sunrise and breakfast, we hike to the Bagaa dunes. Lunch on the way in the shade, setting up camp and overnight stay in the camp.

Tag 5: Bagaa-Berge

After breakfast, hike to the Bagaa Mountains. Lunch under a tree on the way, setting up camp, overnight stay

Day 6: Last day of hiking through the Black Desert

Day 7: Merzouga dunes - Draa valley - Anti-Atlas mountains - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Early “rendezvous with the sunrise” with breakfast. We return to Merzouga by camel. We start our last day of travel by motorized transport and cross the dry pre-desert area. On the way to the Draa Valley, we make a few stops to enjoy the view of the river that gives the valley its name. It is the longest river in Morocco and crosses the entire country all the way to Mauritania. Our journey continues towards Ouarzazate, through the Anti-Atlas Mountains. We have some free time for lunch. In the afternoon we continue our journey to Marrakech, where we arrive at around 8 pm. Transfer to the hotel and end of our journey.
